Our mission is to partner up with our clients and advocate for them should they have any claims being denied for coverage or services that are needed and denied approval form the insurance company. With our wisdom and experience in the industry, our clients can count on us to fight for the coverage to work when it should and find strategy to have it work if exceptions need to be considered by the carrier. We will file appeals and grievances on behalf of our members when they need it. As with the goddess Athena having these characteristics, our mission is to find the best coverage at an affordable price and make sure it covers their claims correctly.

I love the arts and had taken classes for a commercial art degree when I graduated. My hobbies now include outdoor activities such as landscape, building on the house, or painting. I recently decided to raise Bengal Cats and they have won my heart over, so we are going to retire to become cat breeders in our senior years. I started my insurance career with The Michigan Association of Counties over 25 years ago. I managed the BCBSM accounts for all the county association members in Michigan to include Road Commissions, Medical Care Facilities, libraries, and other governmental entities. I have been in the Cadillac area as an agent for 15 years and grew up not far from here. I like to help people problem solve and have always been drawn to help people with more complexed situations.
Joe
Joseph is a licensed agent who has been with Athena Benefits for a little over three years and enjoys working with both group and individual clients. He was born and raised in Grand Ledge, MI with a fulltime military dad and stay at home mom who raised him and his 11 siblings! He has been a firefighter/EMT for 27 years and is currently working with the Cherry Grove Fire Department. Joe has a passion to serve the community, especially during trying times. His biggest goal at Athena is to make sure that our clients have a great experience and receive only the best in customer service.
